We are happy to report that great
things are happening for Appddiction Studio. This week, our "Stop Bullies" app
was featured by Mashable, the largest independent news source
dedicated to covering digital culture, social media and technology, boasts 20
million monthly unique visitors and 4 million social media followers, according
to its website.
In her June 11 blog, Mashable
writer Sarah Kessler wrote about how our app might have
helped a Houston high school student who was beat by a girl armed with
combination lock in the toe. We have talked to Texas lawmakers about our app.
We have spoken to many schools in Texas and beyond.
We are excited that a handful of
schools plan to implement the app in their schools in August, but this isn’t
enough. This app should be implemented in every school in the country.
We hear way too often in the media
that students are not only hurt in bullying incidents at schools, but that they
commit suicide because of bullying. See this recent The View
segment about bullying where the cohosts are seeking a solution.
We have the solution. Schools can
take action before it’s too late. They can prevent incidents with this tool.
Our app can only be purchased by
school districts. Our app is affordable, easy to implement and could help
schools save lives.
Here's how it works. When a student sees a bullying incident
either in person or online, they can document it with their smart phone by
taking a photo, video or describing it in a text message. Using the StopBullies
mobile app, they anonymously send it to school administrators. Instead of seeing these images of fights and bullying on YouTube
and social media, schools can have direct control with this app and be armed
with real-time proof they need to help prevent further bullying incidents.
Appddiction Studio is trying to get
the word out to as many schools, lawmakers, parents and others in the community
about this new app.
You and your associates can help by submitting
this survey, subscribing
to our mail list or reaching out to your school,
lawmakers and other parents to let them know about this app by downloading
a one-pager about our app here and sharing it
with them. You can also connect with us on Facebook and share using email or social media. Anything will help.
We can't thank you enough for your interest
and assistance. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Together, we can make a
difference.
#Tech4Good, it's what we do.
